Educational Vision and Approach
At AVM, our education framework provides ample scope for the holistic development of students—physical, intellectual, emotional, and social. We believe that nurturing experienced individuals requires an approach that goes beyond academic achievements and fosters lifelong skills, values, and attitudes.
We emphasize constructivist learning over rote memorization by prioritizing hands-on experiences, inquiry-based learning, and real-life applications. This helps students build a deeper understanding of concepts and develop problem-solving abilities. Learning is made competency-based, with clearly defined general and specific teaching and assessment objectives that guide students toward mastery of laid-down competencies. We encourage the application of knowledge and skills in real-world contexts to prepare students for everyday challenges and complex scenarios.
We uphold Constitutional Values through values-based activities that instill respect, responsibility, and civic consciousness. Students are encouraged to engage in activities that promote empathy, collaboration, integrity, and ethical decision-making. Our curriculum actively promotes 21st Century Skills such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and adaptability. We incorporate Life Skills, Financial Literacy, Digital Literacy, Health and Wellness, Road Safety, Citizenship Education, Disaster Management, and Multilingualism into the learning experience to prepare students for life beyond the classroom.
We integrate experiential, activity-centered, joyful learning methodologies such as Sport and Games, Art-Integrated Learning, play-based pedagogy, storytelling, and gamification. ICT integration supports technological innovations, ensuring students keep pace with global trends and emerging educational practices.
Inclusive practices are a guiding principle in all our educational activities, ensuring every child’s learning needs are respected and supported. We enhance learning through varied assessment methods that cater to different learning styles and encourage self-improvement. Knowledge and attitudes related to livelihood skills are reinforced to help students become self-reliant and capable contributors to society.
Environmental education is integrated across subjects from classes I–XII to build awareness, responsibility, and action toward sustainability.
Through this comprehensive approach, AVM aims to cultivate empowered, ethical, and globally aware learners who are prepared to thrive academically, socially, and personally.
